This product is designed primarily, to see that cleaning of rigs from top to bottom may be done in a safe, cost effective procedure that the entire oil industry can embrace.
DO-ALL #18 is non-flammable, non-combustible, non-hazardous and biodegradable. The product is manufactured to make sure the user is not classified as a polluter or is involved in harming the environment Along with being user friendly, to the people who apply DO-ALL #18 to clean and degrease day after day, it is not necessary unless one is very sensitive when using DO-ALL #18 to have to use masks and gloves or protective wear when applied as directed. However, when cleaning highly toxic or hazardous situations are prevalent, appropriate preventives obviously must be taken.
DO-ALL #18 upon dilution with water (salt or fresh) along with agitation, manually or with mechanical means, will remove tar, heavy oils, drilling mud, grease, soot, kitchen grease, general grime and heavy soiling.
Over the years DO-ALL #18 has effectively cleaned most contamination problems as the application was applied according to the directions on the label.
DO-ALL #18 is used on all surfaces where water can be used safely. When used correctly, the product has proven that the end result is to be able to replace the heavy petroleum cleaners and butyl liquids so harmful to the user and the environment
DO-ALL #18 is used from the rig crown all the way down to the ceIIar deck. Its use in the drilling floor and control room along with using DO-ALL #18 from the gell vents to the laundry have saved its customer vast amounts of maintenance dollars and allows the safety factor to lead the way.
The success of DO-ALL #18 is to dilute according to instructions with any available water either fresh or sea water and remember it's the agitation, whether manual or mechanical methods that complete the cycle. Where there was oil and contamination, there is now a clean surface, free of any hazardous residue.
DO-ALL #18 is highly concentrated and can be diluted as much as 100 to 1 depending on the application and agitation. Because of its credentials and successes with all industries, we can apply a minimum of 30 different ways to use DO-ALL #18 . For this reason, it is not necessary to use or buy 3 or 4 different products when DO-ALL #18 does it all.
Notice label directions when using for heavy deposits of cleaning old and heavy deposits of oil, tar, oil based mud and heavy contamination of cooking fats in/on ventilators, ovens and cooking surfaces.
Excellent application for pressure washing of decks, wall ways, storage tanks and general external cleaning of drilling mud, oil, grease etc.
For general rig cleaning, both inside and out, DO-ALL #18 is the best product that can be used with today's very restrictive laws. By varying the dilution ratio it can take care of almost any cleaning requirement in complete safety.
It is always wise when first working with a new product to test the most effective way for one to proceed based on becoming cost effective. In DO-ALL #18's case, we know that agitation is the activator. The more pressure applied, the faster the contaminant will be biodegraded. Therefore, it's apparent that, its not how much chemical is used to become effective and residue free.
If the cleaning of the whole rig were to be done in all categories with DO-ALL #18, not only would the cleaning be more efficient and environmentally safe. It would certainly be cost effective. One could take a 20 to 1 dilution, a long handled broom using the seawater with a final water rinse and the cost then becomes lower then the hazardous rig washes available to the industry.
JACK MOTOR HOUSING - in certain cases where the area would be covered with a deposit of diesel and tar which could be removed with a simple, gentle rub with a broom using a 1 to 3 dilution.
SHALE SHAKER - cleaning of this area is not a problem even when mud has been baked on with heat. You could easily carry out the cleaning of the bulkhead and pipes and on the stairway. It would be best after the initial cleaning to use for the ongoing cleaning of shale shaken, bulkhead and pipes be standard at a 1 to 15 dilution. Where mud is baked on a dilution of 1 to 10 should be adequate. The same ratio would be suitable for the stairway.
B.O.P. DECK - this area could be controlled easily with a 1 to 15 dilution.
DRILL FLOOR - the various areas that will need to be cleaned, including the walkway, motor housing, drill pipes and torgs could be handled at a 1 to 10 dilution effectively.
CRANE - the housing of the crane. The dilution could work easily at I to 10, which will take care of general grimes easily enough. A hard deposit of tar or other materials may sometimes have to be dealt with a 1 to 3 dilution along with heavy agitation.
The ultimate method, for best results, are to be able to use HOT water or a power cleaner that can be heated at least for the final rinse.
It is possible that after testing DO-ALL #18 can be used instead of diesel for parts cleaning.
